I worked for UNCA's NEMAC as a GIS intern. During my time, I helped create and analyze several threat, asset, and exposure indices for coastal communities throughout the U.S. implementing both ESRI's suite of ArcGIS and online GIS programs and the QGIS platform.

I interned as a geotech for a small, environmental services company in High Point, NC. Although we work with only 5-6 employees running the business, Northwest GeoScience, P.C. is a reputable company that makes excellent, honest work for a client its number one priority and so leaves a client with the best possible product.As an interning geotech, my job responsibilities have run the gambit: I've participated in UST closures, extensively collected both soil and groundwater samples from a variety of projects, helped create reports and tables for Phase I and II LSA's as well as for NCDENR (North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources) trust fund claims. I've completed over 30 Dam Emergency Action Plans and submitted these to NCDENR and I've compiled many reports on Adobe Acrobat.I work inside and outside. Sometimes in extreme weather conditions. I thoroughly enjoy being able to both work in the office and in the field.
