Architect and Master of Architecture. My interests are drawn upon conceptualizing architecture from a disciplinary approach, combining theory and practice, concept and form, speculation and development. I believe in the architectural project as an opportunity to formulate a hypothesis that allows you to test theoretical concepts that, in conjunction with a coherent developement according to the technical, political and social restrictions of the project, communicate a personal view of the problematic. That is to say, architecture understood, as expressed by Alejandro Aravena, “not as a consultancy, but as an authorship“.In addition, I seek to practice architecture from a speculative approach. I believe that, although living space is generated by matter molded by construction and technology, the strengh of the project lies within the world of ideas. Thereby, I seek to iterate many possibilities in the early design stages that can show alternate projectual paths. In that sense, I think speculation allows to understand a project as a living organism that is born and grows unified and cohesive during the process, and not as an heterogeneous combination of techniques, materials and objects.Also, I’m interested in representing architecture as a narrative. As expressed by Liam Young, “...The architect needs to change their model of practice in order to remain relevant. The architect now needs to intervene in these systems beyond shaping the physical building. And that is really about telling stories about how they operate”. Based on this, I seek to discover the project's narrative by using images and creating atmospheres aimed to unify nature, people, built form and representation. Based on the above, I believe that an architecture that is conceived like a synthesis between theory, speculation and narrative, is an architecture that aspires to be strong in terms of ideas and concepts.
