About Carles Vila
Since 2013 I help stage performers. sports professionals and business people from all around the world (musicians, acting, singing, CEO’s, dancers, athletes, tennis players...) to unwind and resolve effectively the neurobiological roots of focal dystonia, stage fright, stage anxiety, performance blocks etc. through a thorough, attuned and efficient neurophysiological and neural training methodology. I have worked with more than 1200 professional stage performers helping unleash and expand their talent and self-resources for better performances on their work, on stage, on camera, on a sports field or on leadership endeavours. I work with Brainspotting and the Focal Dystonia Cure (FCD) Methodology to unwind performance blocks (de-condition automatized reflexes and the root of stage anxiety). Furthermore, I help expand talent and resources in artists to reach a peak performance in any artistic/sports task or discipline. Brainspotting is based in the use of the eye position to access the limbic and the authonomic systems to activate the roots of ingrained pain and engage in the reprocessing of those neurophysiological patterns. But it is also used to build new expansive patterns for an expansive and fluid performance.The FDC Methodology, was designed by seasoned expert Ruth Chiles, author of "The Focal Dystonia Cure" (Attuned Press). It is a process, with a high rate of success, structured around 5 phases of meticulous work of attunement with the brain-body processes and the stabilization of the authonomic nervous system+ limbic structures. It is also focused on unwinding the neurobiological roots that activate emotional blocks and stage fright. And eventually it is focused on the re-approximation to the source of anxiety/blocks and integration of new neuroplasticity/neurogenesis patterns of experience and expansion. I work from a relational and integrative frame. Which means that the focus is placed on the fine attunement to the client and the relationship, not on the techniques. Every process is validating of the clients' rythms, affects, and respect for his or her emotional experience, defense mechanisms, and biography. As a tv director, I have directed successful primerime television shows such as acclaimed in Spain, Hospital Central, El Don de Alba (Disney's spanish Ghost Whisperer), MIR, 7 Días etc... I have also directed tv docu-series (The House of 1906), and commercials for national and international brands.
