Worked closely with industry and community stakeholders and advocates to achieve shared communications objectives and appropriate and respectful language in all communications products.Achievements:- Achieved positive national media coverage in outlets including Vice, Daily Xtra, CBC, Global News, and CTV about initiatives including: boosting access to health care for trans people; the launch of Ontario’s First Nations Health Action Plan; and expanding Ontario’s vaccination programs- Liaised with industry and community stakeholders and senior government officials to come to an agreement on a funding increase for hospices by $15,000 per bed, as well as to launch an online palliative volunteer and caregiver training program - Oversaw the development of a Dementia Strategy Discussion Paper, including liaising with stakeholders to ensure appropriate consultations took place, resulting in an engagement process capturing input from over four thousand people through submitted proposals, industry advisory tables, province-wide town hall consultations, and an online questionnaire

Edited communications products such as press releases, web copy, and speeches for media events and industry conferences.Achievements:- Managed all social media channels for the former Minister of Health, Dr. Eric Hoskins, when he was first appointed, resulting in the third largest Twitter following of any sitting Ontario provincial politician, below only the Premier and former Minister Glen Murray, the former Mayor of Winnipeg - Drafted seasonal newsletters to industry stakeholders about the work undertaken by the Minister of Health, with an average open rate of 44%, compared to an industry average of 16%, and a click rate of 12%, compared to an industry average of 2.2%- Edited communications materials and managed event logistics for high-profile government announcements, including the launch of Ontario’s in-vitro fertilization program, featured on the front page of the National Post and the Toronto Star

Assisted the communications team in editing communications materials such as press releases, speeches and op-eds.
