Whilst continuing to do the 'day job', supporting businesses on the South Coast, due to the success of the 'Portland' business model acquired by Leonard Curtis in November 2021, I was asked by the Board of the Leonard Curtis Group to take on a national operations role for the Group.The role objective was defined as:- Contribute to increasing EBITDA at a Group National level- Identify and implement changes to case management and compliance systems to maximise commercial benefit, whilst maintaining regulatory compliance.- Encourage a culture of employees focussing on their contribution to Group EBITDA.- Develop national standards of efficiency and consistency of approach to case management and compliance.Leonard Curtis has grown rapidly over the last three years and currently operates across 26 offices, with nearly 300 employees under three service line pillars: Restructuring and Insolvency, Funding and Legal with ambition to grow revenue to £50m+ organically and through acquisitions.

When I purchased Hamptworth in 2015, it was loss making and needed some serious TLC. I am proud to say that from 2016/17, after my further investment and with the support of a willing and able team at the Club, we were able to become profitable, which in turn enabled further investment into the facilities and particularly the Golf Course, which has improved year after year and has been receiving rave reviews. By summer 2021, the Course, according to many long standing Members, was in the best condition since it was built 25 years ago and amongst best in the South. Equally pleasing the Club was also in a strong financial position, with more investment planned. In August 2021, I received an unsolicited offer from the new owner of the Hamptworth Estate to purchase the Golf Club. After some deliberation, and as a result of hearing the exciting plans presented by the prospective new owners and on receiving an offer I couldn't refuse, I was persuaded me to sell and the deal was completed in September 2021. I will miss the people at the Club, but I am now looking forward to seeing the Club go from strength to strength under the new owners management.

I was proud to be appointed by my peers as President of the Insolvency Practitioners Association. The role involved dealing with and responding to government on the regulation of Insolvency Practitioners, meeting with interested groups and representing the membership.
