Shareholder and member of leadership team for this nationally recognized brand in retained physician search, responsible for sales and consulting services into the healthcare C-Suite. Key decision makers included hospital CEO’s, Board Members, Managing Partners, Medical Directors, Executive Directors, Deans and Department Chairs.

Reported directly to the executive management team (President, CMO, and COO). Appointed Chair of the Recruitment and Retention Committee and member of transition team during Sierra Health's acquisition. Responsible for marketing, physician recruitment, managed care contracting, payor and provider relations for a large DFW mulit-specialty group practice with 9 clinics and 147 healthcare providers.

Completed Masters of Business Administration curriculum within 15 month period as full time student while on sabbatical. Graduated with honors from the National Management Honor Society, Sigma Iota Epsilon. Completed Cap Stone (Thesis) on Balancing Tort Reform and Consumer Protection during my last quarter while working full time at Kaiser Permanente

Regional sales responsibilities for practice management managed care, billing and electronic date interchange (EDI) software on a stand alone or service bureau basis.

Member of executive management team reporting directly to CEO with line responsibility for marketing, physician recruitment, managed care contracting, public relations, planning, program development, payor and provider relations. Managed 4 FTE’s and developed business plans for day surgery, transitional care, occupational medicine, pain management, home health and psych/CD programs.

Direct report to CEO that conducted contract and rate negotiations with over 75 hospitals on behalf of Fortune 500 companies, Taft Hartley Trust Administrators and Healthcare Purchasing Coalitions. These agreements provided both geographic and service type coverage across seven 7 states. Managed over 100 hospital contracts with multiple reimbursement schedules. Developed a contract management system including policies and procedures to effectively manage the renewal process and improve hospital system maintenance. Signed first Alpha and Beta site testing agreements with a community hospital and major academic medical center that helped secure mezzanine financing for the development and production of clinical resource utilization software. Responsible for ensuring Beta testing goals and objectives were met and schedules were maintained. This included data collection, installation, end user functionality and application, customer support and overall product evaluation.

A national third party administrator (TPA) of large self insured group health plans I was responsible for provider relations and contracting with 46 hospitals and 3600 physicians. Developed provider selection and credentialing criteria. Provided member in-services, provider orientations and presentations to hospitals, IPA’s, PHO’s, large group practices and solo practitioners. Analyzed HIAA, case mix adjusted data, average cost per stay in evaluating and selecting providers. Selected vendor networks through the RFP and network adequacy process.

Provided national marketing support to 9 freestanding diagnostic imaging centers. Negotiated managed care agreements on a local and national level. Created affiliation agreements with hospitals, clinics and medical groups.
