• Reported directly to the President of the University of Wisconsin System (UW System) serving as chief strategist, senior thought-partner, and primary liaison to advance the President's vision of inclusive excellence.• Collaborated with UW System institutions internally by modeling key principles of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging through outreach, programming, accountability and enhancing talent development.• Coordinated with key stakeholders externally through strong relationships with leaders and representatives of historically underserved and marginalized communities, government agencies and entities, private sector, and community-based organizations across the state.• Developed and implemented a three (3)-year strategic plan that engaged the Diversity Council, Business Council, Academic Deans from UW System's Colleges of Education, and executives from UW System Administration.

• Senior-level Chief of Staff position with management, strategic direction and leadership responsibilities in UW-Madison's Office of the Vice Provost and Chief Diversity Officer (OVPCDO) which had oversight of institutional-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion.• Strategic planning, program oversight and developing measurements to assess the effectiveness of diversity, equity and inclusion scholarship, support, leadership development and compliance programs.• Managed, led, and coordinated UW-Madison's diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts to develop cross-institutional initiatives increasing campus cultural fluency, closing the achievement gap, increasing graduation rates of students of color, and overall student retention.• Managed a total departmental budget of $20M with four (4) full-time direct reports.

• Principal subject matter expert, advisor, and liaison on Human Services and Criminal Justice to Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk plus policy development, staffing county committees, and managing the oversight of grants.• Built Consensus and drove of major initiatives, including expansion of the county sheriff's department by adding more than 100 positions.• Coordinated the 2010-11 Dane County budget involving Human Services and Criminal Justice which constituted 70% of the overall budget.• Opened a juvenile justice facility and launched a community-based jail diversion program supporting rehabilitation of non-violent substance-addicted offenders.• Led a team of 4 people to create the Dane County Racial Disparities Task Force which was comprised of diverse community stakeholder groups to address inequities that were the worst in the country.• Served as a member of the State of Wisconsin's Justice Assistance Grant Planning Committee which prioritized and allocated grants to state, local, and non-profit entities.

• Led, championed, supported, and advocated for a wide variety of projects and key initiatives including garnering support for the timely signing of the 2009-2011 biennial budget.• Researched and analyzed policy on economic development bills designed to foster job creation and increase retention.• Functioned as the subject matter expert on municipal, county, state and federal workforce development and criminal justice policy.• Advised the Governor on policy involving job creation and public safety, culminating in an increase in funding for job creation and public safety programs.
