I am a full-time lecturer in journalism at the University of Leeds, bringing more than 24-years of industry experience to the classroom.I teach broadcast and digital journalism while also holding the roles of Digital Education Academic Lead and Deputy Academic Integrity Lead within the School of Media and Communication.I freelance as a senior journalist at the BBC, regularly reading the news for 5-Live, the Central News Service (CNS) and contributing to other BBC departments.I am an experienced manager with a track record of developing and growing radio audiences, implementing company strategy, changing working practices, looking after budgets and increasing business revenue and profits.I have a wealth of experience in mentoring presenters and journalists at all levels of their career, to help improve professional growth and on-air content.I am skilled in reading live news bulletins for both local and national broadcasters, presenting live programmes and reporting from breaking news stories working for industry leaders including the BBC, Bauer and News UK.I am a qualified Broadcast Journalist with a Masters Degree from the University of Central Lancashire.
