For me, it all started a long time ago with learning how to program my mum's zx spectrum with a book from the library - a good six hours work just to get a ball to bounce round the screen and break some bricks! When I compare that to the Infrastructure Integrations that I have been working on (amongst other tasks), I can appreciate that I am still as interested in IT as ever & still apply that level of perseverance and attention to detail to each of my projects.Everything that I do is aimed towards learning new skills and progressing myself both personally and professionally. Luckily I have found myself in a company that is able to offer me this progression & therefore I am constantly working on new and varied projects. To summarise who I am at work, I'll quote directly from my CV...► I thrive in a technical environment where I can develop my skills and knowledge & then be trusted to employ them to create real-world solutions.► I am ambitious and technically minded, with a genuine interest in building relationships with employees across the business as a whole. ► I am self-motivated & trusted to deliver - working alone, directing a team of consultants or providing support to projects within other departments.Combining these traits and a love of puzzle solving (from the little metal links you get in a Christmas cracker, all the way up to ripping out legacy domains under the noses of the users without them noticing), means that designing and deploying global IT systems gives me the daily satisfaction I desire.Outside of work, I play pool in a local league, am an avid photographer and enjoy many a DIY challenge. Having now moved into a 1930s terraced house in Lancing, I think my DIY skills will be getting put to the test!
