I owe my career to my high school football coach, Doug Bromley. He saw something in me and actually drove me to the Massachusetts Maritime Academy where I earned a degree in engineering and commission as Naval officer. He changed my life. A favorite quote by Henry Ford became my motto: “Obstacles are those things you see when you take your eye off the goal.”I landed in New Orleans and spent 15 years in engineering, project management and sales positions. Next, I was on a team of trainers for DaimlerChrysler for 11 yrs. It was rated #1 in the entire automotive industry worldwide, 8 times. Beginning in 2009 I established a Sandler Training Center in Baton Rouge, coached executives for Ford and founded the LSU inter-collegiate sales team. The students were so successful in getting hired by Microsoft, Cintas, and Hewlett-Packard, that LSU established The LSU Professional Sales Institute, and added a concentration in sales in the marketing department. My goal for decades has been to give back to the state of Louisiana by elevating the sales profession thru coaching sales people at all levels and business leaders who will go on to lead great companies. In the community, I am an active board member of the Zachary Rotary Club. I also collaborate with non-profits whose primary focus is family stabilization, education, and workforce development. I welcome inquiries from local business owners, sales directors and entrepreneurs from all industries and professions who desire to achieve sales mastery, market leadership, and sustainable profit thru world class communication, integrity, and servant-leadership.Connect with me at carl.herrick@sandler.com or carl@kubandacryo.com to learn more.
