The Audit Innovation group within Deloitte is a firm-wide leadership body. As a technology innovation leader, I am responsible for all technology related aspects of our innovation strategies. This includes responsibility for deploying new solutions for the Attest and Enterprise Risk Services divisions of the firm. As such I lead multinational teams to investigate, create, and implement enterprise class tools and solutions.I am currently the lead of a project to conceive, design, develop and deploy our new audit data analytics platform:> This platform will eventually serve all of our approximately 50,000 auditors within the worldwide Deloitte network.> The managers of four product teams are accountable to me. This includes the overall managers of development teams in three global locations and covers the entire life cycle. I authored major components of the overall design of our new audit data analytics platform. Currently lead a global team of about 35 individuals across five countries.Architected the business intelligence view into Deloitte’s audit engagement metrics. Envisioned, architected and led the global effort to standardize robust and flexible data extraction technologies. This pioneering tool is used across our service lines and tool sets, has set new standards for data quality and security and is used internally to Deloitte as well as at various client engagements all over the world.Using various technologies (including QlikView, Tableau, SSRS, as well as others), led the development and deployment teams in the design and execution of standard and ad hoc business intelligence solutions. These solutions serviced both stakeholders internal to Deloitte as well as our client facing services.Global leader of the ERP toolset team. Responsible for directing all aspects of the suite of tools that test ERP security, configuration, controls and transactional data. Code development, content development and testing managers report to me.

Provide IT audit leadership on large attest engagements in the Pacific Northwest. Provided subject matter expertise and leadership in our data quality and integrity initiatives.Performed data quality audits using business intelligence platforms to consult companies on the accuracy of their strategic data as well as offer insight into actionable efficiencies.Led engagement teams in the service of large private and public companies. This includes work related to SAS70 reviews, Sarbanes-Oxley audits, integrated audits, pre and post application implementation reviews and other agreed upon procedures.Led content streams to identify best practices regarding user provisioning. The focus of this content was to define rules that mitigated risks associated with segregation of duties (SOD).Managed the development of a tool to automate the testing of security and application settings for SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JDE as well as legacy applications. Organized and led a team including US and India resources in the design of tool requirements. Led the development team in coding the requirements. Managed many financial and operational control audit engagements. These engagements provided opinions on a wide variety of financial and operational controls and included many team members.Manager responsibilities on engagements included one or more of the following: engagement planning, scoping, initial budgeting, budget tracking, wrap-up and first reviewer of all consultant field work.Due to the nature of my work assignments, I have investigated dozens of companies’ internal processes and have performed detailed analyses on a wide range of applications and systems. I have seen what has worked and what hasn't. I've taken this deep experience and have applied it to my innovation ideas.

This includes work related to SAS70 reviews, Sarbanes-Oxley audits, integrated audits, pre and post application implementation.Designed and built a tool that assists engagements in obtaining samples from multiple sources using standard sampling theory. This tool is in use still today.Stemming from my sampling tool innovation, firm leadership invited me to build a tool to assist engagement partners in determining how to handle control findings based on the new PCAOB guidance.

Designed and built the business application tool set the firm used to disseminate financial and legal pro-forma information to partners. This solution included the extraction of key financial, time-entry and resource availability sources spread out across multiple data platforms.Built the interface between the accounting system and the billing system. Configured the new billing system.Designed approximately a hundred and fifty custom and standard reports.Performed accounting functions including: month-end close, billing, deposit, journal entries, reconciliations and payables.
