Carlie Stowe is trained as environmental social scientist and has worked on policy-oriented climate adaptation research and environmental governance strategies both in international development contexts, and more recently in Washington, her home state. As a climate resilience specialist with the Climate Impacts Group, Carlie works at the boundary of scientific research and application to deliver the latest research on climate science, resilience planning and effective implementation to the organization's partners. She holds a M.S. in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a B.A. in Community, Environment, and Planning from the University of Washington. She is passionate about supporting people and organizations working together to understand and equitably address complex and interconnected social and environmental problems through applied scientific research.
