Operations Consultant May 2015-March 2017Restaurant Manager November 2007-May 2015Assistant Manager March 2006-November 2007Swing Manager September 2004-March 2006General Crew October 2001-September 2004While employed with McDonalds Restaurants of Canada for over 15 years, I held a number of positions from Crew Member to Operations Consultant. During my tenure, I was trained on and exposed to all aspects of the business including: Human Resources, Recruitment/Retention, Business Development and Improvement, Talent Development, PNL Management and Accounting, Community Outreach and Daily Operations. During my last position with the company, I oversaw the 5 remote locations and the remote corporate office in Fort McMurray; reporting to an Operations Manager in Vancouver. This position required self motivation and accountability, community involvement and sensitivity to the region. In 2016, during the wildfire disaster, I was part of the Fort McMurray Wildfire Team which was responsible for the crisis management of all of our employees and locations. During the 6 months following the disaster, we focused on extensive support for our people, rigorous recruitment and retention and reopened 5 restaurants- including completely rebuilding one location. I was hands on for all elements of this endeavour; including recovery of the locations and working with a national team on this process, liaison with construction team for rebuilding and community outreach. For each position, the following required training courses were attended and completed: - Crew Trainer Workshop - Team Leader Workshop- Shift Management Course - Effective Management Practices- Restaurant Operations Leadership Practices- Business Leadership Practices- Operations Consultant Course While I was a Restaurant Manager, I was awarded Manager of the Year on two occasions: 2010, 2014. This award was presented to the top 10% Restaurant Managers in Canada.
