Developing automated document to database data pipelines

Build and maintain about six microsites and two full websites using the standard ASP.NET Core tech stack, which includes Entity Framework, Razor Pages/Views, and JQuery. We use PostgreSQL for our db, and practice n-tier design patterns, including the repo pattern and MVC.Build and maintain continuous delivery pipelines to AWS using GitLab.Configure and maintain hosting infrastructure in AWS Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, RDS, Lambda and Cloudfront/S3.

Full-Stack developer using AngularJS (ECMA6), ServiceStack (C# 7 .NET Core) and Postgres. Also developed tooling for software development and deployment using Vagrant, Terraform, AWS, and Bash script.* Implemented replacement system for HashiCorp Terraform deployment service using Bash, Travis-CI and AWS S3/DynamoDB, all the while adhering to a very tight deadline.* Analyzed and led a team to fix performance issues on list pages in our application which included memory leaks and needlessly complicated DB queries. Presented findings to entire dev department.* Constantly added features to team dev environment through the use of Bash, Docker and Vagrant. Design and develop test automation frameworks for unit, integration, functional, performance and solution testing of a microservices architecture in: C# using Selenium, FluentAssertions, RestSharp, MSTest, NUnit, and SpecFlow; JavaScript using Jasmine. Also fixed app and test code when dev team didn't have the capacity to do so.Expand VS TFS continuous integration (CI) system to provide more thorough and frequent test feedback to the development team. Expand Travis-CI CI system to provide more reliable test feedback and bring it closer to Continuous Delivery (CD).Ensure development team meets requirements, both explicit and implicit, and makes reasonable Scrum estimates. Also provided code reviews to maintain high-quality app and test code.

Designed and developed webservice test framework and test cases in C# using Fluent programming practices and MbUnit testing framework. Extended framework to also automate MVC website, utilizing Selenium WebDriver and Grid 2. Extended framework again to add support for BDD through the use of SpecFlow and the Behave plugin for JIRA.Co-Designed and co-developed test framework and test cases in Java using TestNG testing framework.Integrated test frameworks with Bamboo, configured and maintained build agents, analyzed and reported test failures as bugs in JIRA. Analysis occasionally required parsing our proprietary logs and apache/tomcat logs on the servers.Developed test cases for webservices using SoapUI Pro. Integrated the test projects with Bamboo which included configuring the build agents (Ubuntu Server). The projects also had to be carefully modified to run with the open source version of SoapUI so that we didn't have to buy additional licenses for our build agents.Maintained and improved performance tests in JMeter, helped set up and configure JMeter nodes, debugged and fixed JMeter performance issue (configuration issue).I also acted as test lead in my manager's absence, participated in scrum planning sessions, trained fellow engineers on how to use Git, Mercurial, Bamboo and Visual Studio.

Began transition into test automation architect and QA lead role for team responsible for cloud content delivery via Grails based web services. I was almost done implementing a first pass test framework utilizing TestNG in Groovy/Java when our project abruptly ended.

Maintained Quick Test Pro (QTP) based automated test capabilities for multiple teams as the C#/Google Web Toolkit (GWT) based Application Under Test (AUT) changed. Kept self and team informed of AUT changes that impacted test scenarios as they were developed and worked with dev teams to ensure support for automation. Developed and supported software tools for team that saved time or enhanced our capabilities. Ensured automation was being utilized by team where appropriate and that this usage was reflected in test metrics. Communicated development work, user issues and responsibilities with off-shore team members and other teams.

Designed, wrote and executed both automated and manual black box test suites. Analyzed and reported defects in Quality Center (QC) and verified fixes from the dev team. Also assisted developers in root cause analysis and understanding defect priority when needed.

Developed test automation framework in C#/Lua for grey box component and integration level testing of embedded system which was getting adopted by other teams upon my departure. Developed test framework integration modules for vital test equipment in C# and extended interface with the system under test (SUT) in ARM C. Designed and implemented system for tracing and recording critical system failures on embedded system. Designed and implemented automated Lua test suites for embedded system. Converted ARM-C arithmetic library to fixed point arithmetic to help speed up trigonometric calculations.

Developed Perl API for interfacing with SNMP control library written in C making use of an XS translator. The API was later adopted by the entire blade server test team. Traced and fixed a multi-threaded race condition for a blade network switch which resulted in a server crash during execution of my test suite. Debugged hardware/software glitch on I2C bus for blade servers.

Developed project, payroll and lighting assessment databases in Microsoft Access. The lighting assessment database centralized all future lighting recommendations into one location enabling future recommendations to be performed at a much faster rate.Assessed industrial facilities for ways to improve energy efficiency while focusing primarily on lighting systems. Developed a method and accompanying documents for calculating energy savings achieved through installing skylights.Maintained organization website as well as worked as base level IT support (No Admin rights).
