I develop entertainment software. Back in 2006, I chanced across Game Maker, a software designed to simplify game development. I had so much fun then with the games I made by following tutorials and tweaking the results, that I started playing around with different programming languages to make new toys to play with. I found when working on side-scrolling action games and turn-based combat games, that more than any other task, I enjoyed designing, developing, and testing out the patterns for the enemy game AI to react to the player with. I make a lot of other things as well. I code userscripts and browser extensions to add convenient links to sites where the webmasters won't. When I had access to Lego Mindstorms, I created a routine to dance and 'sing'. I frequently draw fuzzy cartoon critters roughhousing with party supplies. I've written short stories about the same critters and the nature of their world. I've dabbled in FLStudio and MilkyTracker now and then. Occasionally, I create 3D models in Blender and put them in goofy poses.All of that experimenting and playing turned into skills I can use to create a variety of interactive experiences and solve problems.
