Originally from Australia, I began my career in Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering after studying abroad in Santa Barbara at UCSB. My early professional journey led me to New York, where I collaborated with Dr. Robert Jarvik, inventor of the artificial heart, to develop a new implantable medical device for heart failure patients.In time, I discovered that my analytical mindset and technical skills were a perfect match for the rapidly evolving world of data and technology. Since 2016, I've had the opportunity to work at YipitData, contributing as a Data Lead and Manager across investor and corporate sectors. During my time here, the company has grown to become the leading market research firm for the disruptive economy. In late 2022, I took on a new role as co-lead of the Data Science team, where my focus is on championing the broader adoption and deeper integration of data science, machine learning, and natural language processing (NLP) throughout all teams and functions at YipitData.My passion lies in solving complex problems that require strong technical skills and deep domain knowledge across various fields. I enjoy building prototypes in collaboration with technical leaders, rapidly launching or iterating on products and features based on user feedback. Committed to continuous learning and experimentation, I utilize a diverse toolkit, including traditional data analysis, statistics, and modern data science methodologies.As an avid and occasionally competitive golfer now based in Austin TX, you can find me on the course or at the driving range when I'm not busy crunching numbers.
