Carlo Nofri holds a degree in Philosophy and General Linguistics from the Rome University “La Sapienza”. He studied also at the University of Oxford where he developed his first language researches. He has been the chief editor of the language review “Culturiana” and has collaborated with the language centre CLICI of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” where he taught Language Pedagogy. He is the author of several articles and publications on the teaching of modern languages and, in particular, he has focused his research on the relationship between language and thought (see “Language and Mental Imagery”, 1991, Preface by Tullio De Mauro) and on innovation in language pedagogy by developing a new humanistic approach (see Guide to Glottodrama Method, 2009, translated in 8 languages). Since 1995 he has been coordinating educational projects in the framework of the main European Programmes (Lingua, Socrates, Leonardo Da Vinci and Lifelong Learning Programme). He is currently the Director of the Research and Language Training Agency ”International Language Academy (former Novacultur) and of the Glottodrama Academy, a network born from the family of European projects Glottodrama (2007/2014) awarded twice with the European Label for Languages.. Moreover he teaches General Linguistics and Language Pedagogy at the University Institute for Translators and Interpreters “San Domenico” in Rome and is in charge of managing the college established in Fermo by the same institution. He is also the President of EUROPEARLL (European Association for Performing Arts Applied to Language Learning).
