Carlo Bevilacqua, www.carlobevilacqua.photoshelter.comPhotographer, visual storyteller and documentary filmmaker.Mention of Honor in the International Photographic Awards 2008/ 2009/2011, in America Photo 2008, in Tau Visual Professional Prize for Creativity 2008, winner of the HF Prize in SI Fest Savignano Immagini 2008, his career has spanned more than twenty years, alternating photography and direction of documentaries and video clips. He started taking pictures in the80’s, originally focusing on societal and anthropological photographic studies.He is based in Milan (Italy ) working with magazines, communications and advertising agencies, creating photography spreads, campaigns and videos.He taught Fashion Photography at the Italian branch of the Fashion Institute Technology of New York at the Milan Politecnico.He has also directed various documentaries and video clips, including, Little Red Robin Hood a biographic documentary about Robert Wyatt, Soft Machine’s singer and drummer, with Elvis Costello, Brian Eno, Paul Weller and Nick Mason (Pink Floyd drummer)His works has been exhibited or screened in several international films and photo festival as Boutographies in Montpellier -France, Biennale of Photography Brescia - Italy, PhotoBiennale in Thessaloniki - Greece, International Fotografia Festival Rome, Indian Vision London, Fotografia Europea Reggio Emilia Italy, Encontros da Imagem Braga - Portugal, Center for FineArt Photography Colorado - USA, National Portrait Gallery London (UK) for the Taylor Wessing Prize 2011,Singapore International Photo Fest 2012 , Cortona On The Move 2012 and many others.His last works include Utopia and Into The Silence, two photographic essays on the alternative communities and about the hermits of the third millennium Both has published as book and featured in more then in magazine as Geo,Stern, Die Zeit, Marieclaire and many others. Currently he is the Communication and Digital Director for Fassamano Eyewear.
