Designed and developed a PCB Trace Editor and Router ECAD System. The product, AE, based its concepts on design-ruled technology. The AE product calculated in real time, the design criteria of laying out traces on printed circuit boards and providing a template for finalizing the design. My area of concentration was in the development of algorithms for trace moving, trace shoving, and via placement. AE was developed on Apollo workstations and written in the UNIX/C language. The AE technology was purchased by Mentor Graphics and rolled into their product lines.
