The Procam Traineeship is focused on personal and technical development during a 2-year period. The main questions during the traineeship are;- Who am I?- What do I want?- What are my capabilities?In this 2-year period you are placed at a company to learn on the job skills, while Procam focuses on the personal development part. I started at ABN AMRO as Development Engineer for the Branding & Communications department. Learning by doing at ABN AMRO combined with technical training was the foundation of a professional start. The speedup came from the personal development by periodically reflecting on myself via different types of training and personal coaching. The personal coach has been a professional with many years of experience in the field and in coaching. Training days could be focused on Work-life balance, Negotiating, MBTI, etc.

During my time at Sweco I did a variety of things. From supporting in different Tenders to coordinating and writing a second opinion for a Public Transport issue.

Leopold House & Garden is a garden centre.My parents are the owners. I work 8 - 60 hours a week. I do all sorts off tasks. Decorating, cleaning, selling, delivering, planting plants and give advice about new business opportunities.

During this trip I went on an adventure to see new people, cultures, countries and mainly to experience completely new experiences. In the 11 weeks of travelling many different experiences led to the best trip of my life. Learning how to dive and get my open water PADI, 10-day course of Vipassana meditation, Bed Bugs, huge language barriers, new friends, scams, beautiful sceneries, a 100 different temples, but the main element during this trip was to explore and experience the unknown.

The courses are a combination of exams, papers and presentations. More specific, this involves that engineers investigate and understand, both internal to their own organisation and external in relation with business partners, what the current and future technological, economic and social environments require technological firms to do. They will be able to analyse and anticipate wider societal trends in which new technological production takes shape and in which market the resulting products and services are to be sold."

Study Association Curius is located in the building of Technology, Policy and Management(Technische Bestuurskunde). The group consists out of 6 students that set aside there studies for 1 year and fully focus on the interests of the TPM students. The students could come to Curius when having problems within the faculty, whatever the problem is, are encouraged to organize events with Curius and to organize a pleasant student life in general for the students. - The total number of members: 1450 students- Total active members: 300 studentsAs the secretary I am in charge of all the communication within the association. The first person people will be in contact with to make sure all communication will be as smooth as it should be. So this is outside-in, and inside-out communication. Handling emails, update the website, sending monthly overviews and get a general overview of the life of the students. This will be used to adjust a possible course of action, or to know that the last activity was a great success. Next to this I am responsible for the u-to-date administration of all the Curius members. I am also in charge of the well being of my fellow board members, to support them if this is necessary. Together with the board we organize different events, meetings and courses for different purposes. Serious events like company visits and career events, combined with activities that are focused on the fun aspects will be organized throughout the year.. These are all set up by the board, but mostly managed/supervised, since committees are in charge of preparation and execution. An internship at Simco-Ion in Lochem. The assignment consists of 3 different parts.- Technology analysis; The product, cleaning systems, of Simco and of their Competitors, and the patents for this group of products.- Market Research for the purpose of the cleaning systems, identifying the areas and use qualitative interviews for better analysis.- Setting up a Strategy for the company to be successful in the cleaning systems market.The assignment was completed within 5 Months.The cleaning systems are used in production lines for the removal of dust- particles(>1 micron). These cleaning sytems are used in the CD industry, Plastic industry, Paper industry, etc. Simco-Ion is market leader in static control and is a part of the ITW group. It has ISO 9001: 2008 certificate and is represented throughout the world by a network of agents.

Bachelor in Engineering, Design & Innovation (Mechanical Engineering) at the University of Applied Sciences in Amsterdam(Hogeschool van Amsterdam)

A Pre-master study. This is a year program offered by the TU Delft, but could be done in half a year when stepping up the pace, which resulted in a perfect fit in the time of the specialization for the Bachelor program.

The main task was to support the projectleader. The project was to implement a new production line. Beside this project I also did an efficiency research with recommendations for improvement.
