CurrentCarlo is an international expert in digital sport. With over 35 years experience in the technology and sport/broadcast industry, Carlo graduated in Computer Science in Turin and he soon moved to Boston for a terrific time working on cutting edge projects including cooperation on the Athena Project at MIT, where he developed a small contributed software part of the official X Window System distribution.Back in Italy, Carlo joins deltatre in 1990, 4 years after its foundation and develops the first deltatre multilingual TV graphics system to manage simultaneous English and Japanese graphics at the Tokyo91 World Championships in Athletics. His career develops across many projects and responsibilities, moving to more managerial roles, focusing on business development and commercial leadership positions, but always with an eye on technology, his true passion. His multicultural approach, together with a tech background, helped him gaining a huge international experience across world-class sporting events like 5 FIFA World Cups, 6 UEFA EURO, Formula1, World Athletics and many other events across the globe, developing long-lasting, in most cases ongoing, relationships with top federations, broadcasters and media in general. Being now with deltatre for more than 30 years, he gained a strategic view on this industry that he is now focusing on the design of technology strategies through innovation, aiming to finally disrupt traditional approaches and contribute to evolve them to cope with today digital challenges.
