We launched a Private Company in downtown Toronto which created modern, fully electronic clothing. The clothing incorporated the functionality of a desktop computer with video goggles. The built in capacity to capture 360 degree video was important because we created VideoyouUniverse (youtube) type portal, we believed that real life was more interesting than movies.

Left University of Toronto 2 credits short to go and change the world with a Macintosh 1meg computer. I was at Harvard every two weekends partying with my best friend Rudy Buntic and they were being flooded with cheap Macs. Macdraw, Macpaint and Postscript and life was never the same again. We started a Desktop Publishing company creating low end posters and flyers at far below the typical typesetter and printer prices and our business took off. We expanded into a Service Bureau printing out 500 high quality pages a day (90K/month), we gave out 9600 baud modems when people were using 300 baud. Clients such as Financial Post could print directly to our printers 24/7/365. ExperDesign had a cult following among artists who were pushing the boundaries of what the technology could do. We would run colour separations from disk to film. It would sometimes take all night. We would go to type houses, some of the best in Toronto and warn them that their time was up.We landed a 2 Million dollar contract with Nissan to Design and print 1.5 million high quality car brochures for the entire product line 1990, including the new 300 Z Twin Turbo.....millionaires by 24 in the 80s, now that was exciting. Chiat Day, a famous ad agency from L.A, had just won the Nissan Canada account and we saw the opportunity to do something amazing for Nissan at a better price.Bob Loyst lent us his car brochure collection going back to the 50s. Alex Bulzan Studios, created an cutting edge presentation which I pitched with Bob, and we came out with the contract! One of the most exciting days of my life, I was 24 years old.Once we were awarded the contract we had no idea we needed to buy $300,000 of high end paper from Germany. Our printing partner RB Trade printing, ordered the paper for us. We learned the value of working with the Best possible partners and we achieved something incredible.
