I was part of the Booking.com infrastructure team. My most noticeable projects: - Redesigned the entire DNS infrastructure of the company to be hybrid (on-premise + cloud), multi-authoritative, more resilient, DDoS resistent, globally distributed and much cheaper :) - Wrote the automation to perform capacity testing across most of the baremetal infrastructure. The insights provided by the tool allowed the company to improve the resource utilization of their fleet and cut costs.- Managed and improved the in-house load balancing solution, which serves millions of users daily. Wrote system configuration tooling to simplify and automate the deployment of anycast services of all kinds.

I worked on automating the deployment process of their Solaris ZFS storage servers.

My duties involved a great number of tasks varying from deploying directory servers, configuring firewalls and integrating services like proxy/content filter, mail server, VPN and many others. I took care of all system management activities like vulnerability testing, patching, upgrading and tuning. I deployed and managed the entire monitoring system along with customers and internal backup systems.
