Since my assignment, I've been investing most of my efforts in implementing and sharing my IT Vision around the following key topics:1) People: passion and motivation. From “we did it”, to “what’s coming next”. Taking some time to celebrate the successes, of course.2) Service: Business trust. From “OMG we have to call IT” to “let’s call IT”.3) Risk management: increase the awareness, to reduce the risk exposure. From “reaction” to “avoidance”.4) Spending review: simplify, simplify and, if you have some spare time, simplify.The direction is set, it’s now a casual walk, along the road somebody has left, that’s life, but for the team determined and inspired by the vision, I believe ”the harvest” is just round the corner and many good results have been achieved already:- People: we are building a great team of professional, that’s far more than the great group of professional we are already! Looking forward to increasing collaboration and knowledge sharing.- Service: we are continuously improving the quality of our deliveries, being focused on “customer experience” and adapting the approach from the feedback we collect. Next to come is strict planning.- Risk management: we shuffled the cards… The Governance started with a bang, and early results are coming: we earnt Business trust and attention. What next? I would say, governance, control and risk management will be the new normal…- Spending review: the actions put in place, all in all, worth the 10% in cost reduction. Without casualties. Next step is building a more robust IT budgeting process.
