Key member of a deal team tasked to underwrite new business and monitor existing debt to real estate builders, developers and operators in the GTA. Responsible for making recommendations to the bank’s credit officer. Debt provided was mainly construction and term/mortgage financing for land development, single family homes, high and low-rise condominiums, commercial and industrial properties and multi-unit residential facilities. Studied market trends and developed key insights to include in the workflow in order to support the recommendations submitted for credit approval. Analyzed companies' financial performance to better understand a company’s financial position and risk tolerance. Focused on the variance in the free cash-flows and the capacity to maintain the proposed capital structure. Evaluated revenue recognition methodology and accounting accruals embedded in the financial projections to ensure the earnings were supported by actual cash-flows.Applied sensitivity analysis to assumptions provided in the quality of earnings reports (customer concentration levels, EBITDA normalization factors, growth and discount rates, and operating expenses) to assess transactions’ risk level.

• Worked in Diversified Industries Group for 7 months (supporting 3 portfolios, total ~100 accounts and ~ $3B in debt capital) and then promoted to Asset Based Lending Group – currently ranked #1 in Canada in mid-market corporate banking • Spearheaded a team of 3 in the Asset Based Lending Group, supporting 7 portfolios across Canada: ON, QC, AB and BC with multiple accounts were cross-border in U.S• Managed the deal close process from the operations perspective by coordinating with business partners and operations area to ensure accurate and timely closing• Exposed to deals that involve Capital Markets, M&A and Bankruptcy; interpret and reviewed loan documents and credit agreements to ensure bank system accurately reflect the terms of the credit• Contributed to streamlining legal/credit deal closings and innovating tracking system to capture deficiencies in portfolios to mitigate future losses to the bank• Recipient of "Being BMO" award in department; recognized by senior management and executive team for demonstrating BMO's values: Integrity, Empathy, Diversity and Responsibility
