From my nursing days in the intensive care unit, I learned the value of attention to detail, empathy for patients and the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration. These lessons, although coming from a medical context, served as a foundation for me when I decided to embark on a self-taught journey into backend development.Curiosity was my initial guide, I wanted to understand how the technologies behind the applications I used on a daily basis worked. Through this personal learning experience, I found a new world full of challenges and discoveries. My immersion in AWS, Python or Serverless Framework has been the result of not only hours of study and practice, but also the actual application of these tools in real-world scenarios.Within AWS, I have had the opportunity to familiarise myself with tools such as Dynamo, S3, Lambda or SQS. With collaboration and workflow on GitHub, Git and Jira, I have constantly sought to improve my skills, not only as a developer, but also as an effective communicator and collaborator.
The AWS Solutions Architect certification has been an important milestone in my journey. But beyond the accolades, I value the connections and collaborations with colleagues and teams from different areas, such as frontend, design, and marketing. These interactions have enriched my perspective and taught me the importance of working together on technology projects.My transition from nursing to development is not the typical path, and I value it for that. Each day brings new learning and a new opportunity for growth.
