Most of my working years were developed mainly in the Automotive Industry, that I started in 1988. Since 1991, I got a chance to go a little further in leadership positions always leading strong multidisciplinary teams. Since 2004, the main focus has been on operations management.According to the above, all my knowledge was created by playing key roles in the most important projects in the Automotive Industry, in Portugal, as an employee in Renault Portuguesa, Plants in Setubal and Cacia, and OPEL Portugal, in Azambuja. Later, I worked as a first tier Supplier to AutoEuropa and PSA with connections with plants and suppliers in Europe. All my intervention was focused on Operations Manager, Suppliers Quality Assurance and Core Tools development, reinforced with Continuous Improvement implementation projects. This allowed me to know a whole set of processes of some of the main suppliers of the Automotive Industry, in Portugal and Europe. With the emergence of Lean Manufacturing, in Portugal, I had the opportunity to have an entire introduction and training at Porsche Germany, which, consequently, allowed me to be appointed as a partner with Bosch Car Multimedia to develop, an improvement project called “Bosch Suppliers Development” as well as being selected by OLHO Group Germany, to had a course for training of top managers called “Human Resources Development”. Also, I had the opportunity to carry out consultancy, auditing, and training activities, which allowed me to develop communication skills.Nowadays, I have strong technical skills in Plant Management and Operations, including Production, Maintenance, Planning / Scheduling, Logistics (Supply Chain) and Purchasing as well as Quality Systems implementation, Lean and Continuous Improvement programs, Innovation and Project management and Balanced Score Card monitoring among others. Despite already having knowledge in management, I accomplished, in 2017, an executive MBA, to improve my skills.
Listed skills include Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Quality Management, Automotive, and 23 others.
