As a member of the Formula SAE Formula Del Racing team the objective is to conceive, design, build and validate a Formula SAE type prototype. This process involves the participant studying and specializing in an area of ​​Engineering, developing soft and hard skills, working in a team and in a workshop with a manufacturing manual. For the competition that takes place annually, the participant who is registered must produce an engineering presentation related to their sector and present and discuss the entire engineering process with the judge (who is a trained engineer who is a reference in their field of study). The objective is to assess the engineering competence of the participants, in my case I was enrolled for 3 years. As the number of applicants is limited, only highlighted participants are selected for this position.

This position focused on the performance of the prototype had responsibilities such as:Test management;Analysis and definition of setup;Data driving decisions;Data analysis;Telemetry.

My duties ranged from operating a manual lathe and CNC-assisted machining center, project management, component design designed for manufacturing, 3D printing, CAD AND CAM, and MIG and TIG welding. Furthermore, one of the functions was knowledge management, and the position was therefore responsible for planning and implementing workshops and training related to the major areas of study in manufacturing.

For 4 years I worked with conception, design, development, manufacturing and validation of components and subsystems related to internal combustion engines. These systems are intake, exhaust, fuel supply and cooling. The entire process from data analysis to selection of design parameters, definition of boundary conditions, definition of geometry, simulation and validation of concepts was used for several components of different scopes. Also assigned to this position were assembly and maintenance activities for the designed components and calibration activities for internal combustion engines through a programmable ECU, using permanent and transient calibration logic based on MBT and BSFC.
