About my career:After a period of 15 months living and working with automation of industrial processes in Seville in Spain, I started at Reason, a company focused on energy system products.For almost 14 years I worked in the power sector in the development of monitoring and protection products for electrical systems. I was the manager of the research and development department and participated in the design and specification, development and implementation in the field of innovative, high added value and worldwide products. In this period, I led and worked together on a multidisciplinary and highly qualified team. The development of products comprised different activities such as project management, using information storage tools (TRAC) and management of schedules and activities (MS Project), hardware development, consisting of a high performance acquisition system controlled by an integrated FPGA and microcontroller (SoC), the development of firmware and software, based on agile software development methodologies (MPS.br), and the equipment validation and certification (CE and UL) in specialized laboratories.In addition, I was also involved in ANEEL R&D projects, in the application and testing of equipment in the field and in support and technical discussions with customers in Brazil and abroad. During the period I was at the company, Reason received several awards related to innovation, among them the first national place in the FINEP Award for Technological Innovation, the most important award in this category in Brazil.Later, as Chief Technology Officer at Cata Company, a startup in the financial sector, I worked on the development of cash management products that consisted of mechanical and electro-electronic systems and embedded and high-level software. Software development was carried out using agile methodologies and with application in the cloud in a Microsoft Azure environment.
