Sociedad portuaria regional de Cartagena is the most important maritime port in Colombia and the caribean, ranked 61 in the Top 100 World Container Ports. Seven times awarded by the Caribbean Shipping Association as the best port of caribbean.As a Software Architect I designed several mission critical enterprise applications and mentored several development teams in agile methodologies and coding best practices. The following is a list of achievements at SPRC:• Designed a real time route tracking system for internal and external trucks working in the port yard, based on RFID, WebSockets, Akka, Spring that allowed the company to record and analysing the driving habits of their truck drivers and also anticipate security issues related to external trucks.• Lead Architect of the team who architected and developed a real time anti smuggling alarm system based on complex event processing, elastic search, activemq, db2 and ExtJs.• Designed an scalable Java based Telnet Application Server which host telnet applications for port yard equipments like cranes, trucks and rtgs.• Developed an scriptable telnet applications load tester client, similar to selenium but for telnet.• Developed an inhouse Enterprise integration server based on enterpise integration patterns, apache Camel, ActiveMQ and Spring Framework allowing to reuse and reduce the friction with the legacy code.• Designed and developed a high performance EDI processing and communication server that daily create and process thousands of X12 and EDIFACT standard messages like CUSCAR, 301, TPFREP, VERMAS, 322, CODECO and COARRI.• Member of the design and development team of SprcOnline a Maritime Comunity System which integrate and support a large part of the logistic and maritime business in Colombia. Built using Java EE 6 (EJB, JMS, DB2, JSF).• Wrote the coding standard and Spring/JEE best practices reference document for the new Junior developers who join the company.

Invited professor in software architecture in the Software Engineering postgraduate program in Fundacion Universitaria Tecnológico de Cartagena.
