Plans, organizes and implements a schedule of youth programs serving the children of students, faculty, staff and community members- specifically the summer camp program. Provides organizational and administrative support to the programs. Ensures all UCSB, UC, state, and federal laws and policies are followed regarding the management of youth programs and the training of staff working with children. Sets program procedures and approves offerings/schedules. Facilitates the scheduling of space for these activities, hires and manages the instructors/camp counselors, works with the marketing team to ensure these programs are effectively marketed to the UCSB and Santa Barbara community, handles all comments/input from participants in a timely fashion, and regularly evaluates the effectiveness/profitability of these programs. Serves on department, division, UCSB, and UC committees as appropriate.
