As a Network Technician within the Public Works Department of San Jose, I was responsible for the critical task of establishing and maintaining the city's network infrastructure. YearUp is a well known program all around the U.S and very well known here in the Bay Area. This year I finally made the great and right decision of joining this amazing program which has not only developed me for a career in tech, but as a person. At this program I was able to demonstrate my skills, grit and ambition. In the duration of the program I was allowed to break out my shell, learn and adapt to the work environment. Not only I was part of many team collaboration projects , I also would conduct class sessions , and present.

Everyday consists of a new issue I will need to learn in order to solve each case.Tools I use everyday consists of knowing how to navigate through solutions, windows and mac command lines, Windows and mac OS troubleshooting, Iphone and android troubleshooting, Microsoft applications troubleshooting, VPN and network troubleshooting and organizing and documenting skills. I support Meta employees from all over the world using different tools and applications to communicate and gather information. I also assist users remotely using an application called Bomgar.Just like Meta's value "Move Fast" is the perfect way to describe my externship experience , all but in a positive way of course. Not only I was super blessed to be teamed up with my YearUP colleagues in the same Enterprise Support team , with my determination and grit I'm able to enjoy and learn everything about Meta. I enjoyed the very first few weeks of learning about our role and the tools we would be using. I love helping users setting up their new laptops , to dealing with complicated powershell cases , which l've been praised for!

Working for Allied Universal was a great pleasure. Being in this company allowed me to grow as an employee and learn the concept of organized and discipline. It was great having the flexibility to learn and conduct many trainings to different clients and officers.

The families were great to work with and their will to learn the therapy was such an admiration. I learned a lot about doing assessments. I had a great supervisor who would praise my will and patience with patients. We worked all around the bay area, and even got to work with different officers from other states.
