About Carlos Alfredo Boj De León

My experience has been developed in the energy field, in sectors: private and public/government in Guatemala, as well as in the international public sector (development bank).As Energy Consultant at Finance Unit for the Majority at CABEI, I am responsible for the implementation of the Energy Initiative in Guatemala, where I have the responsibility of the preparation and implementation of grants through technical assistance, as well as manage loans (financing) for development of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. Similarly I have supported in the rest of Central America through the Energy Initiative.As Researcher/Consultant at Energy & Infrastructure Analysis Center (EIA Center), I developed a consultancy called "Tracing Regional Electricity Market and challenges for implementation " in May 2012.As Regional Electricity Market Analyst at National Commission of Electric Power (CNEE), I was responsible for ongoing monitoring and analysis of business transactions of electricity trade between countries under a regional power dispatch with economic criteria, as well as monitoring and evaluation of permanent and transitional rules governing the regional market.As Guatemalan Electricity Market Analyst at National Commission of Electric Power (CNEE), my responsibilities were based on monitoring and ongoing monitoring of the administration of the activities of the Wholesale Electric Market and the proper performance of their agents and participants within the legal framework.As Distribution Engineer at Electric Company of Guatemala (EEGSA), my responsibilities consisted of the preparation of management, design, construction supervision and commissioning of new distribution lines (13.8 kV) in both aerial and underground network EEGSA in both urban and rural areas.As professor at Galileo University, I taught the following courses: High Voltage 1 & 2, Power Facilities 1, Industrial Electronics and Electrical Circuits Advanced.
