Among several projects working on the ClimateCoLab.org and 2030compass.org CoLab in partnership with SEI (Stockholm Environmental Institute).The XCoLab is an extremely customizable software for handling crowd source input. Responsible for the new implementation of a legacy Django system to Spring Boot Java based tech stack. This system uses integrations to a Python Based scoring server , and node.js Etherpad system, that had to be customized to allow API integration between servers.POGS is an open sourced project, that aims to help web based subject interaction research. It is a platform that allows researchers define task plugins that compose a sequence of tasks that subjects are invited to solve, using cooperation and delegation to solve the problems.Minglr is an open sourced project that aims to help connect people attending web conferences in a way that mimics the real experience of the coffee break talk. Done in reactjs using websockets and the Jitsi web conference open source library.

Worked as developer at a migration from Liferay legacy system to a microservice architecture using Spring Boot, JooQ , Spring Cloud and Neflix Eureka. This open sourced project is live in six different and highly customized instances.Worked as lead developer at a Python Django system designed to aid in web based task solving research. Helped with performance enhancements using Redis. Used Python's Panda library to evolve a scoring algorithm of text based string comparison. Helped with (node.js) Etherpad library integration and customization.

The solution is carefully designed and maintained by a team of developers using the best of the agile methodologies to develop a continuos deployment approach. Using Java and the facilities of Amazon Web Services, the solution is able so scale and successfully handle the peaks in special dates like, valentines day, black friday among others. Along with the site we maintain the Poup Alerta browser extension , that helps our users to always get the best deals and save money on all major retailers in Brazil.

Worked as technical consultant in the company that received public funding from Brazilian public research and development agency: FINEP .Helped in the requirements, documentation and architecture of the C/C++ embedded application that measured Q&A data from the Nipo-Brazilian digital television standard ISDBT. Helped in the scalable server implementation and architecture, for handling the data generated from the embedded system. Using JEE frameworks and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud platform to ensure the availability and scalability of the solution.Also helped in the definition of a hardware prototype using raspberry-pi for dedicated measurement probes.

Worked as a software consultant for Qual Canal company, a member of batch 5 of the US based accelerator 500 Startups.I was responsible for helping in the definition of scalable architecture for the huge amount of data the twitter social analytics engine consumed. Helping in designing a systematic approach to acquiring, processing and counting the data in the distributed servers. Also helped design the queue system that used RabbitMq for the implementation of the producer-consumer mechanism.Also after a business set back , helped design a new business strategy for using the data acquired in TV related Twitter post be applied to Facebook targeting ads system. Creating a cross media retarget solution, for specialized audiences.Implemented a piece of the new software architecture for the mapping of one social network to the other.

Involved in general decision making and company management, I was responsible for all IT related decisions and coordination for the innovation department at Intacto.My tasks involved hiring and managing the teams for each innovation or research and development project. As well as being a consultant in Architecture and Development in all innovation projects. We followed agile principles and had daily follow up meetings as well as monthly or fortnightly sprint planning for these projects.Took part in the implementation of the MPS.BR level F ( similar to CMMI level 2) in the whole company, without loosing the agile principles.

Worked as a technical leader and project manager for clients in the private sector. Managing small teams of up to 4 people, using a in house development process derived from the RUP/CMMI framework. After 2008 the house began migrating to agile methodologies.We used a wide range of JEE frameworks, such as Struts, Webwork, JSF. And several databases, from Mysql to Oracle and SQL-Server.Also used PHP for some legacy systems, and developed JSE desktop applications.Worked as Full Stack and DevOps in more than 10 projects.After 2008 migrated to the R&D and innovation department, leaving the software house.

Viaja.la is a platform for travelers to find their ticket according to their budget. My role was to develop and assist in the architecture for the system. The website was developed with JEE frameworks and used MySQL as the database. The crawler was implemented in C++.The solution was discontinued.

As co-founder of a Startup I did from managing the team, being the CTO and CEO.The ITVProject is an web based authoring tool for digital tv applications. The project started in the Intacto Software Systems company as a R&D project. Its paper was presented at UXTV 2008 at Microsoft at Mountain View, CaliforniaMy role was to design the architecture of the interface, that would be generic enough to be implemented and could later generate applications for different technologies.I also had to redefine and implement two frameworks for the Nipo-Brazilian ISDBT digital pattern.Worked as Full Stack developer and also as DevOps.The software is a complex set of different frameworks and solutions in order to enable the generation of Digital TV applications.The web interface was developed entirely using javascript. The server was implemented using JEE frameworks, Hibernate, Struts2 and Spring. The framework designed for the ISDB-T platform was implemented in two languages, Java and Lua and NCL.The framework designed for Samsung smartvs was implemented in HMTL and javascript.This solution ran on top of Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, using scalable instances that ran emulators for each platform. Using a VNC javascript/Java implementation, each platform had its own emulator directly at the browser.The solution was discontinued due to the lack of adoption of the Brazilian DTV applications.
