Actualmente soy el Director de Ingeniería (CIO) de BBVA, miembro del Comité Ejecutivo del Grupo. En esta posición, tengo la responsabilidad global sobre la tecnología, las operaciones bancarias y la seguridad física y lógica de BBVA.

I am currently the Global Head of Talent & Culture at BBVA (CHRO), and member of the Executive Committee of the bank. From this role, I lead talent management, cultural transformation, organization and corporate premises and services across the Group.

During this period, I led the global Compensation & Benefits disciplines, and acted as the HR Business Partner for the Group's top management.

From this role I led BBVA's Talent Management, in charge of defining the global models and processes for the end-to-end people management cycle (recruiting, mobility, learning and development)

During this period, I supported BBVA's Senior Management in the definition of roles & responsibilities, organizational structure, workforce size and internal governance mechanisms. I was also in charge of developing BBVA's processes transformation agenda, with a focus on business support functions.

The AEB (Asociación Española de Banca) Foundation is a private and non-profit institution that was born in 2008 with the purpose of disseminating education, training and research in all matters directly related to the Spanish and international financial system and the regulation of the banking activity

I have proudly served as Non Executive Board Member of CUNEF. The University College for Financial Studies (CUNEF, by its Spanish initials) is a very prestigious Higher Education center that offers several business and law graduate degrees in Spain. It also offers Master degrees especializing in banking and finance.

At McKinsey & Co. I was a strategy consultant, responsible for all aspects of project leadership and management. I had a focus on the telecom and banking industries, where I developed an extensive experience in different types of projects, including corporate strategy, marketing & sales, operations and organization. During my career at McKinsey, I was a member of the leadership group of the European operations practice, with direct responsibility for the “business support functions” service line.

I played a Finance Manager role at BT Europe, where I was responsible for the analysis, consolidation and reporting of BT's European subsidiaries and joint ventures accounts. I was also in charge of developing BT Europe's budget and performed financial controls. During my experience at BT, I trained and qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant.

At Arthur Andersen, I trained as a junior auditor. During this professional experience, I conducted the financial statements audit of a medium-sized Spanish bank and developed a cost-reduction program for a large Spanish health insurer.
