Hello, I'm Carlos, a seasoned hospitality professional with over 15 years of experience. During my career, I honed essential skills like teamwork, accountability, and leadership, which culminated in the success of my own restaurant, voted 'Best Taco' by Chicago Magazine in 2014. However, I've always had a deep passion for technology. From a young age, I tinkered with computers and built basic websites. In early 2022, I decided to follow my heart and transitioned into the tech industry. Over the last 18 months, I've dedicated myself to learning to code, including enrolling in the 100devs online bootcamp.Recently, I was fortunate to be accepted into the DPI SDF program's Fall 2023 cohort, where I aim to acquire the skills necessary to develop a compelling full-stack web application. I'm excited to leverage my background in hospitality, which has taught me the importance of teamwork and customer-centricity, to create innovative tech solutions.
