Working at a hostel requires a combination of skills including front of house skills, excellent customer service, operations management, and facility management. Operational responsibilities: overseeing the daily management of the hostel, guest reception, ensuring appropriate staffing and resourcing, liaising with outside staff/tourism personnel, training new staff members and delivering exceptional customer service. Financial responsibilities: managing group budgeting and contracting, business development to optimize occupancy, monitoring and reporting of sales performance, preparing future financial needs assessment, marketing tactics, and managing social media presence. Facility responsibilities: complying to health and safety codes, managing inventory and supplies, ensuring operational condition of the building, and supervising maintenance activities.

Cross functional role that included both front office responsibilities and financial analysis for the hostel. I was responsible for the day-to-day management, such as staffing, activity management, logistics, facilities and maintenance, hostel inventory, reception, and customer service. Additionally, I oversaw business development, managing budget, analyzing industry pricing, forecasting occupancy inventory, and overseeing social media presence.

Primary responsibilities included tracking and analyzing telephone/internet usage in order to obtain more customers and offer them better benefits, providing competitive telecommunications intelligence, and assisting with direct to consumer marketing.

Business development and management of the agricultural supply chain from retail to the wholesale markets. Territories included both rural and urban areas. My work was deeply rooted in the community, often visiting the agricultural farms where the food is sown and harvested, as well as the various downstream distribution centers. Responsibilities included understanding every aspect of the supply chain, as even the smallest details such as weather conditions and supply could affect production.
