Project Manager Ii
CurrentAs project manager II, I Plan, manage and organize construction projects within an approved scope of work. I develop a scope of services obtained through client/customer interaction and acquire bid specifications and designs from pre-contracted architectural and engineering firms for bid solicitations based upon the information obtained through the initial client held preconception meeting. I am directly responsible for monitoring construction contracts, agreements and contractors daily work efforts. I review, evaluate and approve all contract deliverables. Additionally, I approve all contractor invoices, negotiate change orders with contractors and subcontractors alike and minimize project hold ups by supplying detailed information to all contractors, vendors and on site personnel on a regular basis. As the Project Manger II for Seminole County Government, I oversee all capital improvement construction projects from preconception to closeout as they relate to the building structure and genetic makeup interior and exterior. My focus is to maximize the integrity and appearance of all buildings and minimize the amount of dollars spent to achieve this. Some of my most recent projects include, exterior renovations of the John E. Polk Jail in Seminole County consisting of pressure washing, caulking and paint/ waterproofing of all exterior surfaces to prevent water intrusion. New construction of ADA accessible restrooms at a recreational park in Sanford and installation of a 500kw diesel powered generator with dual ATS systems for the fire departments training facility. renovation of the old work release center into the new Probation offices, roof replacement on the Central Branch Library, renovation of fire stations throughout the county, concrete driveway and storm water catch basin replacements, exterior seal coat projects to a majority of county owned buildings and interior paint work of the county services and public safety buildings.
