They say I am cosmopolitan and passionate about the arts, design, and the fashion industry. Internationalizing the Greater Caribbean one closet at a time is my most important mission. In pursuit of my dreams, I have had the opportunity to present and market collections for women and children clothing at many of the most important fashion events throughout the Americas, from DominicanaModa in my native Quisqueya to Chicago Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week, among many others.If I must tell you about my professional background, I graduated in Advertising Communication and Public Relations from Universidad APEC in the Dominican Republic. I hold a master's degree in Visual Arts from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo, where I have been sharing my knowledge with new talents in the Dominican fashion industry for over a decade as a mentor. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to enhance my fashion skills at institutions such as the Mercy Jacquez Technical Superior Institute, Chavon School of Design, and the Marangoni Institute in Milan.My beginnings as a fashion designer trace back to the carnivals in my hometown (Mao, Valverde), where I had the opportunity to design some colorful costumes. This led me to become the designer for musicals and shows such as the Spanish-language premiere of the musical "Saturday Night Fever" and "Hairspray," along with others like "Legally Blonde," "Godspell," Soberano Awards, and Youth Awards. I am also the designer of the national costume of The Domincan Republic.I am passionate about various subjects, such as arts, literature, fashion, and textiles. However, I also strongly identify with service. I always seek ways to share what I know, teach others, and leave a positive impact whenever possible. That's why my experience as an educator and mentor brings me joy. As a virtual teacher at UASD (yes, I also have a diploma in virtual teaching), I have also connected with Montclair State University in New Jersey (where I currently reside). I am an adjunct professor in the Fashion Studies department, specifically teaching Fashion Illustration.Currently, I am part of Children's Arts & Science Workshops, Inc. (CASW), an organization that has allowed me to explore other virtues within myself. It has invited me to return to my roots as a creative and advertiser. In this role, I am involved in implementing and creating the branding and marketing for the CASW brand.I am curious, analytical, strategic, and not easily satisfied. I am committed and determined to make a difference.
