▪ Analyze election data and design voter contact plans for clients' political campaigns.▪ Advise clients on messaging, voter contact, and general strategy.

▪ Created a strategic plan with detailed analysis and recommendations for the City of Seattle to realign its criminal justice system around a public health model that centers BIPOC community values and evidence-based practices proven to reduce crime and recidivism.▪ Served on the Interdepartmental Criminal Justice Equity Team, working to eliminate youth incarceration.▪ Provided research and legislative analysis to Councilmembers and Council Committees.▪ Engaged with the City’s criminal justice institutions and community members to reduce misdemeanor incarceration rates and racial disparities within the City’s criminal justice system.

▪ Established the policy and procedures for the operation of DOC’s new ombudsman office.▪ Engaged the Attorney General’s office on legal and constitutional questions.▪ Analyzed legislation impacting the ombudsman program and advised on legislative strategy regarding said impacts.▪ Wrote and submitted the Ombuds Annual Report to the Governor’s office and the legislature.▪ Investigated and issued decisions on allegations that the Department violated policy, administrative code, or state/federal law.▪ Advised Department Secretary and other leadership in amending policy to address various issues and complaints.

▪ Authored two reports analyzing the impacts of the Department’s policies and practices on the recruitment of Latinx employees and visitation rates for Latinx incarcerated individuals.▪ Conducted qualitative research to inform recommendations through interviews and focus groups with agency staff, university students, incarcerated individuals, and families of incarcerated individuals.▪ Presented reports to DOC’s Executive Management Team, members of the Governor’s Policy Office, and the Mexican Consulate.
