Conducted highly specialized network analysis and related technology studies for a US Government customer. Provided real-time support in response to time-critical mission needs, on a 24/7 basis, including travel on short notice. Engineering activities involved both current and emerging network technologies, network/ system/ data security, relational databases, data communications, multiple operating systems, and diverse hardware platforms. Performed intensive internet-based research and data mining, and the extraction of large volumes of diverse information from the Internet for use in a variety of analysis activities. Acquisition and management of such data were key challenges, along with enabling analysts and engineers to effectively use the data acquired. Provided security engineering and Certification and Accreditation (C&A) support to the DIA DISCO Federate using the DODIIS C&A Guide. Defined and allocated DCID 6/3 security requirements and developing engineering concepts and solutions to implement a firewall architecture. Per the guidance provided in the DODIIS C&A Guide, developed and executed the Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) procedures. The DISCO Federate includes Windows NT, Solaris 2.5.1 and Solaris 2.7 components installed with DIICOE, AFDI, and the Joint Deployable Intelligence Support System (JDISS).

Served as Technical Team Lead supporting the Mexican government with performing a Security Assessment of the Mexican Customs (AGA-SAT) network. Provided remote and on-site penetration tests, along with an Information Assurance Risk Assessment based on the NSA INFOSEC Assessment Methodology (IAM). Served as Technical Team Leader supporting General Motors Argentina (GMA) with performing a Security Architecture Review of the GMA network, in preparation for an internal audit. Developed security policy, processes and procedures for certification and accreditation (C&A) of an Army data warehouse system. Coordinated all IA support for Department of Energy (DOE) and managed technical staff for multiple engagements for DOE, Department of Defense (DoD) and other clients. Served as Technical Team Leader supporting General Motors (GM) Brazil and performed an Internet security assessment for the GM Brazil network. Served as Team Leader in support of the United States Postal Service (USPS) initiative to design and implement a Secure Enclave pilot. As Project Team Member, provided IA support to The Office of The Secretary of Defense (OSD) at the Pentagon.

Performed systems engineering and technical assistance to the Operational Support Facility Multiple Security Level (MSL) Integration and Test Lab and information security technology implementation efforts for DoD. Applied analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of workflow, organization, and planning. Duties included the collection of requirements and application of those requirements to long range program planning and implementation of MSL technologies to meet OPSEC requirements and to interact with field activities as needed. Applied systems and networking knowledge to the solution of multi-level secure systems design problems and other INFOSEC applications, including network design, configuration and implementation of CISCO Series routers, CISCO PIX Firewalls, RaptorMobile Virtual Private Networks (VPN) and other security related technologies. These tasks included preparation of policy documentation, certification and accreditation, implementation of firewalls and firewall-like technologies, to include installation, configuration, and systems security administration and support.
