About Carlos Graça
Born in Portugal and son of an entrepreneur mother and an industrial engineer father, I’ve always seen myself as an inventor and technologist, that tied with my passion for computers, led me into becoming an electronics & computers engineer in 2006.As for my first professional experience as an engineer I decided to move abroad to UK (Indesit Company). Here I’ve worked on several projects that allowed me to understand the challenges of deploying some of the manufacture excellence ideologies, such as, 6Sigma, 5S, Lean systems and MRP II.Apart from the technical and process challenges, I was integrating myself in a new culture and a multi-nationality working environment. Those I believe were really valuable lessons that I took from this experience. In 2008 I came back to Portugal and after a slight pass over a small consultancy office I’ve joined “NOS Comunicações” (TV Cabo SA by then), where I’ve been developing my professional path since. I’ve lived through a spinoff and actively worked on the company merge with Optimus.My ludic passion is a martial art called Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu that was embraced in 2003. I've spent some years in competitions (even won some), but nowadays I'm focused on instruction.
