Results included 100% employees participation with over 10 quick and standard kaizen implemented per employee annually, 60% reduction in customer claims, 70% improvement in lost time accidents and 80% on gravity rate, 30% inventory reduction, 25% cost improvement, decreased logistics costs by 35% and increased productivity by 20% in 2010/2011.• Reached successfully production records of 220,000 heavy duty engines and 132,000 heavy duty transmissions in 2011, an increase of 45% over 2010, through productivity, capital investments, expansion and sourcing. • Led the construction of a $200 Million Volvo’s JV plant with Eicher Motors in Pithampur, India. Member of the India JV Board. Plant dedicated to Medium Duty Engines, with a high level of automation and capacity of 100,000 engines annually opening in 2012, including machining of blocks and heads, complete assembly, test and paint. Increased productivity more than 200%, reduced customer claims by 70%, warranty costs by 80% and improved safety by 80%.Tripled capacity. • Developed and implemented EPA 2010 engines as the most successful Volvo engine, by introducing strong focus on reliability. Led Volvo and Mack Trucks to increased market shares and reached # 1 engine manufacturer status in the United States.• Implemented the Operational Development Program (OD) since 2007, involving all 1,800 site employees. Participative program aimed for improvements to all aspects of the business; Delivered savings of $10-20 M annually.
