Created, launched, and operated a Virtual Private Network based on Wireguard, for the Cuban market, serving thousands of users. After completing a successful acquisition by a third party, stayed in the team as CTO and shareholder, leading a growing team, and scaling the infrastructure to serve more locations and VPN protocols. Formerly named "Lugo Network", Connecton VPN is now serving 10x more users worldwide.

Aimed to launch a startup accelerator to help Cuban entrepreneurs build andgrow in the IT sector. The idea failed due to lack of resources and approachingthe wrong market.

Founded a Virtual Private Network which was acquired and renamed to Connecton VPN, currently operating, growing, and serving users worldwide.

Created and launched a social network oriented to education, where teachers met with students, share resources, and schedule virtual or physical lessons. It took a long time to launch the first version and operated for some time but didn't have enough market traction. It was sunset as the founders didn't see any future for that idea.

The first Cuban podcasting platform, which powered the podcasting movement on the island, helped thousands of podcasters spread and distribute their content while allowing consumers to save internet data. Mentioned in press media like The New York Times, CubaPod was a key project, inspiring others to continue its legacy. The platform was sunset due to a lack of resources, notenough sales, and a lot of traf c to handle. Basically, the users wanted it all for free, and was impossible to maintain.

Created and operated a URL shortened, which displayed ads before redirecting the user to the final page, and sharing a percentage of the income with affiliates. Billed $17K USD in the first month, which is a lot for the Cuban market. It was sunset because the partners decided that in mutual agreement, and for the reason it had a very unpredictable business model, making it impossible to calculate the CPM as it was dependent on other platforms like MGID.

Created, but never launched, a payments processor supporting methods like Stripe and PayPal, to help merchants have a seamless payments experience, with easy API integration and plugins for platforms like OpenCart, Shopify, and Magento. It took too long to build and it was very late when it was ready. The market was already occupied by newer and better projects. Learned that functional is better than perfect and execution speed is crucial in startups.

Founded a press media website to help Cuban tech entrepreneurs get exposure to their startups. Failed to make it sustainable as it was launched without de defining a business model. Learned that everything requires investment and a budget to operate, and it is not enough with donations and volunteers.

The first Cuban e-commerce platform. Designed for merchants to list their products and sell them online. It is still operating but did not reach the expected usage level, as the market was not yet ready for e-commerce, national payment gateways were not developed, the internet was not widespread, and a legal framework did not incentivize startups.

Worked for different customers during college time and after graduation, as a freelancer, contractor, or forming small teams to build specific projects. Learned a lot about customer requirements, user experience, team management, and software life cycle.
