Researcher at the optical networks unit, department of electrical engineering. My research focuses on network automation and the application of machine learning to automate network operations.

Work related to Brazilian Digital TV System and its middleware, also called Ginga. The development of applications and the exploit of new possibilities of systems integration based on Digital interactive TV.

Study the telecommunications challenges posed by Smart cities environments are a key step to develop and make viable to deploy new smart cities around the world.One important topic is the optical clouds and its survivability upon the occurrence of failures. During this period, the study of the integrated management of cloud computing and optical network infrastructures is the initial step. The second step is to study the survivability strategies that can be used on the Smart Cities environments to improve the network resilience, enabling high availability and reducing the total amount of infrastructure needed to deploy these smart cities.Computer simulations are used to simulate and evaluate the performance of existent strategies, and also to benchmark these existent strategies against the proposed strategies by this study.

Design and development of a public security portal that integrates data from a set of systems used by Public Security Agency of Pará State (Brazil).
