CurrentI’m currently responsible, as project manager and system engineer (either directly implementing or thru team mentoring, leading & management) for:* Developing, Qualifying, Delivering, and Supporting the operational readiness of the parafoil actuation winch equipment for the Space Rider re-entry module vehicle, as part of its descent S/S. (client: Thales Alenia Space Italy):* Space Rider: * First European reusable orbital re-entry vehicle * TRL 9 actuator, with mission-critical functions (Descent & Landing) * TRL 9: Actual system flight proven through successful mission operations.As the project manager, I’m responsible to uphold a highly challenging calendar, which includes planning activities from conceptual design up to up to Phase E2 (in-orbit mission, up to landing) and Phase F (refurbishment activities & re-flight).A non-exhaustive list of the tasks under my direct responsibility:* Design & Analysis: * Producing the supporting Design Documentation: - DDF, ICD, DJF, UM* Assembly, Integration and Verification (AIV): * Planning and executing all activities related to: - Manufacturing/procurement, assembly & integration - Verification up to Qualification, Acceptance and FRR * Producing all AIV Documentation: - DDQP, VCD, TSPE, TPRO, TRP, IRP* PA: QA, Dependability, Safety, EEE Components & MPP * Producing all QA Documentation: - CIL, MIP/KIP Plan, RFD/RFW, NCR, Alert system * Producing all Dependability Assurance Documentation: - FMECA, Reliability Prediction, WCA, FTA * Producing all Safety Assurance Documentation: - Safety & Hazard Analysis, Fracture control FCP, FCIL* Materials, Processes and Mechanical Parts: * Selection, control, procurement and usage of RFA, Declared Material, Processes and Mechanical Parts List, supporting the Material Processes Control Board (MPCB)* EEE Components: * Declared Components List DCL, supporting ECEB
