I started at Hostos while I was a student. I worked as Mathematics and Economics tutor. I also tutored Computer Science and Advanced Math at City College of New York. I then started working at the office of Instructional Technology as Multimedia Specialist for 5 years. I then became the Coordinator of this office for 5 years. I have been the Director of the Office of Educational Technology for 4 years. Currently, I am also the Co-Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning, and Chair of Hostos Higher Education Officers Organization. It is and has been a fruitful and gratifying career at Hostos.

As one of the founders and President of the Organization, achieved the official status of not-for-profit (501c3) organization in the United States, as well as the recognition and respect from the Ecuadorian and Hispanic Community in New York, and Ecuador. Developed and directed educational projects like GED in Spanish; organized and presented several workshops in a variety of topics offered to the community. Additionally, stablished a strong technological infrastructure providing powerful technology tools to enhance the productivity of the organization (www.juventudecuatoriana.org) Recognized as exemplary citizen and received a Proclamation by the New York City Council in 2008. Achieved a two-year Multi-lateral Collaboration Agreement with an Ecuadorian Regional Government Agency, to develop educational and community projects. Author and Director of the project “Ecuadorian Scholars Fund,” which has been successfully celebrated in a Fundraising Gala for four consecutive years, and awarded five scholarships per year to students from the New York Tri-state area.
