Carlos A. Sabater is an accomplished global business executive and recently retired Senior Global Partner from Deloitte-the world’s largest professional services firm. He offers a comprehensive multi-cultural business background and valuable leadership and corporate governance to prospective Boards of Public and Private companies. Carlos is a licensed certified public accountant and a qualified Board Financial Expert. Currently serves on the board of directors of PDC Energy, KBR, Inc. and PoolCorp. all three large public US Companies. At these companies he serves on the audit committee, nominating and governance committee and compensation committee. While at Deloitte, Carlos worked closely with the Boards and Audit Committees of complex Fortune 500 public companies during his nearly 40 year career. He has deep experience in SEC financial reporting and has worked closely with the US and Global regulators of the audit profession. Carlos served in various senior leadership and operational roles, including CEO for both the US and Global Deloitte audit practice. Most recently, Carlos served as the managing partner for all of Deloitte’s businesses across the 28 countries of North and South America. In these leadership roles, Carlos was responsible for the development of talent, risks and crisis management, as well as ensuring excellence in client service. Carlos brings extensive corporate governance experience gained while serving as an elected Board member for the Deloitte firms in the US, Mexico, Central and Latin America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda and while serving countless not-for- profit Boards. He has served on the Risk, Governance, Audit, Finance, Compensation, and Global committees of these Boards. With a deep passion for talent development and mentoring, his partners and clients endowed a scholarship and mentoring program in his name at Florida International University, where he is a Board Member. Carlos was named to The Agenda Diversity 100 and was named one of the Top Ten Hispanic business leaders by Hispanic Magazine.
