I am currently pursuing my PhD in Microbiology on the development of different type of microbial electrochemical technologies (MET) and specially focus on different methods for waste-to-electricity transformations. MET are multidisciplinary devices which require understanding on material science, chemistry and electrochemistry, mechanical and electronical engineering. In particular I work on the role of open-source hardware and software for MET research development. I strongly believe on the opportunities and impact that open-source will have in the future real-world applications of METs.I am confident with the use of different programming platforms (Python, R, C++) and I also develop different skill relating electronics and prototype design (3D printing/CAD, craftsmanship).
