I was born in Cuba and grew up in Maryland and Florida. My career has been in Operations and HR in global Companies. Starting at ITT and AIG, I then spent 15 years at Citi. The last 13 years are with FirstCash where I manage all HR for the 1800 plus stores in Mexico, Columbia, Guatemala and El Salvador where most of our growth has been. I also manage all Training enterprise wide for over 3000 Pawn Stores. FirstCash is publicly traded company that has kept high returns during our global expansion. Our Senior Management funnels our entrepreneurial culture into a disciplined business model; a difficult but profitable accomplishment. Reporting to the President, I manage HR Coordinators, Recruiters, Trainers, Generalists and specialists in labor law, metrics, eLearning, etc. I build HR and Training teams that bring the right people and train them the right way. They are an indispensable part of sustained performance and profitability.My fondest achievement is that my wife and I had eight children who are busy making families and careers of their own. I love reading, public speaking and, traveling with my wife.
